We are looking for a Laborer to perform tasks like hand shoveling using hand tools & training on laser equipment to set curbs.
If you LOVE being outdoors & working with your hands, have a background in construction, and have some knowledge of excavation, equipment, & safety knowledge, consider joining our tight-knit, supportive team! Our Ideal Paving Laborer:
Experience:
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
On-the-job training available.
Higher pay for candidates with knowledge of construction, excavation & equipment, safety knowledge, and general knowledge of safety equipment.
Computer/Technology Skills:
A smartphone is required to use the company app for tracking hours, etc.
Active:
This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
& exerting up to 100 lbs.
, lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, & repetitive motion.
Team Player:
Ability to get along and work efficiently with a team of 2 or more workers.
Owns up to mistakes, pulls their own weight, & is friendly.
Reliable & Trustworthy:
Work hours are 7 am to 5/5:
30 pm, about 50 hours per week.
Must be willing to put in overtime.
Saturdays are optional but highly preferred.
Desire to Learn:
We provide on-the-job training for entry-level candidates and are eager to provide advancement opportunities for people who are motivated to learn.
Motivated:
Your experience is not as important as your attitude.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and a good team player.
Safety Clothing:
Steel tip boots & work pants are needed.
Driver's License:
Must have a valid PA License & reliable transportation.
Travel:
Our paving crew meets at the shop each morning before heading out to the job site.
What we offer our Paving Laborer:
$20 - $22/hour, DOE Consistent hours, 7 am to 5 pm, with required overtime.
